A poem about remembering the past
Osmosis of the mind
A trick which I have tried to find
So that someone may see
The way I view the world to be

But not by means of force
Should this absorption take its course
For with it comes no bliss
Just tendency to reminisce

On seeming better days
The ones which have all burned away
Yet still they shine so bright
Ages ago like distant light

My supernova past
Exploded and went by so fast
And after its collapse
Still to this day it pulls me back

The world has become gray
Half-lit is how I view the days
And only in the night
Do I chance to reclaim my sight

For when it brightly shines
The sun seems but to sear my mind
The sky becomes a shroud
And through the day it screams aloud

That I have lost my love
Those gentle lights in space above
I'll wait for their return
It happens every night, I've learned.
