Touring China and turning Chinese, not during this life time.
Chinese Puzzle

China can not be studied by books
The oriental mind a deep, bottomless chasm
Language, customs, incomprehensible to western thinking
It must be experienced, chewed on
Worn like a borrowed garment
Attempted, yet fully not at home
One piece always missing, a Chinese puzzle
Seeking, searching, pondering
Exotic notions weighed in the balance
Monday you have it all figured out
Tuesday, blown out of the water
Courage wanderer, never lose heart
Press on the best is yet to come
Spicy fish heads
Crunchy chicken feet, Wenzhou duck tongue
I am sure I read it somewhere
Everything but the squeal
Ancient stone temples a 1000 years old
Wisdom of the past, comfortable resting beside KFC
Endless traffic on wide streets
Dark, narrow hutongs
Cities over a million
160 strong
Mountains of snow fall early
Taking their time leaving Harbin
A myriad of fireworks during Spring Festival
Illuminate the night sky
Cordite fills the air
Navigate the Yangtze River the swimming hole of Mao
Under the pale moon, stroll the boardwalk of West lake
Maybe it is enough just to see, taste, to love
Save the heavy thoughts for the deep thinkers
Each season a new adventure
Never a dull moment in the Middle Kingdom
