The Sadness Orchestra


I’m a Tenor
Constantly singing songs of sadness
The orchestra accompanies me with the haunting sounds
That I know are coming.

The notes and chords
Strike me one by one
Like a thunderstorm of pins
The pain is too heavy

I forget all about the sound.
Deep into the cold night,
I conduct my own sadness.
I’m too good at it to stop.
