Some secrets should stay hidden, but others should be told.
My mind is a cell that has no escape
It's full of dark memories that i create
A young girl lives there all alone
Pale skin hugs her bones
Sad green eyes clear in the dark
Clothes torn and falling apart
Blond hair wild and covered in dirt
But the look on her face is full of hurt
Familiar face, body, and eyes
But as i grow this child repeatedly dies

This child is a ghost from my past
Stuck in a place where happiness doesn't last
Brother, sister, Dad, and Mom
They all sang her death song
They scratched words of hate on her skin
This is where her pain began
Her life was a hourglass with no sand

They scream and yell
Made the girl's life hell
Laughed when she cried
And told her lies
They turned her heart into ice
Made her lose faith in Christ
She was alone and scared
But no one cared

She is nothing but a memory now
That girl died but no one knows how
Its a family secret that we can never share
Its our sin and only ours to bare
Remember the girl with the sad green eyes
And the secrets and lies that her little face hides
