Poem written to my wife after an arguement while I was deployed to Afghanistan!! Enjoy!!!
I'll love you forever and there's nothing you can do,
To change any feelings that I have for you.
We've both hit a patch and I think that's it's time,
To pick up the time clock and let it rewind.

Now that we've learned to think with our heart,
I think that we both deserve a fresh start.
Let's think of the past and block out the bad,
But let's hold on to all of the good times we've had.

Believe it or not it is possible to do,
To forget all the bad yet keep the good too.
It's almost like tossing your thoughts in a net,
Allowing the apologies to pay off their debt.

Our good times are big so they will not fall through,
But the bad times keep going and the pain leaves you too.
So let's toss all of our memories into the net,
Forgiveness means nothing unless you forget.

I vow from this day forth until it's my last.
To never remember the bad in our past.
I've gathered my net and tossed my thoughts in,
Never will I remember the bad times again.

But I'm sure in the future there will come a day,
When we'll need to get the net out and toss more bad away.
But no matter the heartaches I get in my life,
The one healing power is the love from my wife.

So what do you think, do you feel it's a good time,
To pull out the time clock and let it rewind?
Look in your heart and tell me what you see.
Because forgiveness means nothing, forgetting's the key.
