poem written in the 3rd person about children who have been molested
In the eyes of a child
Is the fear they hide,
They never say a word,
Only have tears in their eyes.

For they swore not to tell
Or someone would get hurt,
The terror in their eyes,
Causes them to be invert.

So young and innocent
And victims are they,
Of such nasty games
That some adults will play.

They are battered and bruised
And have pain in their hearts,
From all of the abuse,
Leaving them wounded and scarred.

They are angry and bitter,
With the truth there inside,
What abusers will say,
Is that the child has lied.

Their bodies hold memories
Of abuse they can’t deny.
No amount of sympathy,
Will ever answer why.

Lives proclaimed and tormented,
With years of added pain,
For healing takes a lifetime,
While memories still remain.

The child in each of them,
Is desperately needing love.

God does protect his children,
With his angels from above.

Scars will always be there,
As their wounds go very deep,
Because of some molester
Who touched them in their sleep.
