our teens everyday life
they congregate in herds
in swarms, in gaggles

meandering without care or cause
they wonder, they roam

communicating endlessly with others
they text, they chatter

feeding when need be
they much, they slurp

like and endless quest
they search , they seek

with primitive signs and signals
they gesture , they grunt

they are the Mall Rats
our children , our future
