This poem was written during my first relationship with my first love.
Strangled heart,
Scattered brains,
This forgotten hope,
Is all that remains.
They've taken away,
All you had left,
In hopes that you two,
Would eventually forget.
Our love is stronger,
Than the ties of distance,
It may hurt sometimes,
But this is our only chance.
Since the end of July,
We've been together,
And look at it now,
It's the end of October.
This distance pulled us apart,
Sometime in the middle of August,
Two and a half months,
We've had nothing but trust.
Trust in each other,
Never to cheat,
Trust in our love,
This passionate retreat.
I'm holding on,
As long as I can,
Still none of my friends,
Can seem to understand.
It scared me at first,
This relationship we've begun,
It's the longest i've had,
It hurts more than the heat of the sun.
I really didn't know what to expect at first,
I was a little uneasy,
But now i've grown up,
It's crazy what I see.
I have a feeling we'll make it,
This love,
I can't shake it,
I don't know exactly how he feels,
But, he still takes the time,
To call everyday,
So he must feel close to the same way!
