The betrayed infatuation of age for a youthful would be lover in the style of Shakespeare
There is danger in your eyes.
Would they did not look on the world with the immensity of youth.
Betrayers of a confidence, deceivers of your heart.
My heart would beat in rhythm, but there is danger in your eyes.

Too long my senses linger.
In love I would perceive you, and in perception know the truth.
But I am lost perhaps forever still waiting at the start.
In heartless syncopation, too long my senses linger.

Fast fall the days before me.
Your gaze move stars and moon, fleeting passage ‘cross the skies
I stand and weep before them, a burden on my mind
Youth lies lost behind me, fast fall the days before me.

Betray your grievous burden
Lay down your deepest sorrows, hold fast the moonlight with your eyes
Know then your greatest power is in a moment shared
Love longing yet to soothe you, betray your grievous burden

Time steals the hearts of dreamers.
A barrier before me, cruel distance shields my passion from your mind
I speak but you don’t hear me though I hover by your side.
Lone nights I lay waking as time steals the hearts of dreamers.

There is danger in your eyes
I am lost to thoughts of darkness, hate draws black veils across my sight
Love once cherishing your countenance, can only now deride
Love lost to loathing curse the danger in your eyes.
