Romantic Poetry for June Romantic Poetry Entry
You and I sat and watched the clouds go by
I daydreaming, looking for shapes within
You pondering deeply, on what they might bring.
I asked aloud how something might work
And you jumped right in very eager to tell.
A few minutes more I returned to my dreaming
While you still went on telling me more.
And that my love is oft how things are
Though we stand side by side, still worlds apart
Yet as your hand reaches out and touches mine
All of a sudden our worlds collide
And nothing else matters, all barriers broken
For I feel you and welcome your body and mind.
