A poem about how the girl I love left a mark on my life.
I cried, as you drove away.
You reasons were justified.
No words could make you turn back.
As much as I wanted you to stay,
I understood your reasons.

I went back to my life,
Trying to erase that time.
I hold her at night.
I wonder if you’ll ever be,
In my arms again.

In the short time we were together,
My whole world made sense.
Everything just pieced together.
My trials and heartaches were rewarded.
Then, you walked out the door,
Faster than you walked in.
My world was turned upside down.

Now as I sit here,
Trying to make a broken relationship work,
Nothing makes sense to me anymore.
How can two people who bond so easily,
Not be joined to create,
A beautiful relationship?

I don’t know what the future will bring.
The feelings I have are to strong to deny.
Somehow, some way, things will come together.
My life will once again make sense.
But, there’s one thing for sure,
I will never be the same again.
Never the same.
