Dark poem about grief.
EMPTINESS

You fall deep inside.
The darkness consumes you,
as you try to hide.

What is this place?
You huddle in nothingness,
only a cold foreboding space.

You try not to breathe.
Your heart races,
as your blood begins to seethe.

It boils through your veins.
Your heart weighs heavy,
through all its pains.

Life is nothingness.
You are numb curled there,
swallowed by hopelessness.

The pain permeates through you.
You sink deeper in despair,
the question is always why or who?

You looked for the light.
A bright spot of joy,
but it vanished with darkest night.

Nothing can be done now.
You won't be pulled back,
you're not even sure how.

There is no love, peace or care.
All hope is gone,
left only to darkest despair.
