To he, whom I loved.
Your pale skin does not hide you. I see you. In all of your glory; in all of your weakness. Through that smile you so boldly wear, creeps more than your breath. You stand before me, quiet, astonished, revealed. You did not know what I could see. You could not feel my presence. Sitting before me everyday, you lied. You smiled: lie. You laughed: lie. You were not happy. I saw it. I call you out today, out of the darkness. I have shown you how to smile,
I have shown you how to laugh. I have opened the door, come and be happy, with me.
Put away the past, and open up the future. The sun has not set on you just yet. The windows have been closed for so long, open them up and dust off the darkness.
The water you were submerged under distorted you: from the surface, a frown looks like a smile. I saw you, I pulled you up, now breathe.

And breathe you have, though you have slipped, you have also gained your balance. You are not hiding anymore. Here you are, open, proud, and weak, but willing to try. In silence you listen, you learn.
