A quick poem.
We are lined up to die one by one
Billions, all slowly walking towards death
Moments before our killers strike we are given one last reqeust
Some men ask for one last beer
Some ask for sex
Some ask for something as simple as their favorite meal
Our lifes flash before our eyes before we die
My life has been flashing by slowly for years
While I've waited in this line
The only joy I feel in this is at the beginning
Meaningless, ignorant, bliss
When I'm an infant and I can hear my mother sing her lullaby to me
Before I understood life or death
When I'm an infant and I can't speak the worlds to insult anyone
Before I was spoiled by things I didn't need
When I'm an infant and I don't have the strength to hurt anyone
Before I was corrupted by the world around me
When I'm an infant and I can't stand up to walk away from anyone
That was true happiness
Meaningless, ignorant, bliss
So as I walk closer to my killer my last request is only
That I hear my mothers lullaby one last time
So that I can feel that again
And remember what it was like to not know about all the evil around me
And smile in my pure, meaningless, ignorant, bliss
To be truly happy
Thats all I want
All I need
Before I die, with a smile on my face.
