Confusing life experience
    "Yellow Rainbow"

A shadow lifts its beak pulling up into the mirror, from the bed
Rainbows fall into the curvature of the distance between the
Bed and the body laying limp, the alarm clock numbers red and
Vampirish, the beeping just a snarling dog, why did it have to disturb this
Shadow that doesn’t know what to think of that mirror- with
So many hallways, so many doors, with yellow knobs to turn.
Glue stuck on each doorknob, he twists each doorknob, in an attempt
To reach each shadow, or body, or beak.  But the rainbows always miss
Each other, and the shadows play baseball with each others' beak, and
The mirrors shatter, the doorways shut.  Glue gets stuck under pillows
The Tooth Fairy never comes for the child because too many hockey sticks
Have been floating in the shattering air.  Doorways in mirrors, yellow windows
Tainted with smoke stained walls, falling into Big Birds body, as they fall
Back into this, what is it called?  The alarm clock screams at them the red
Numbers late at night, another time to wait for more numbers, to scream
At them more doors to be closed and glued onto and screamed shut.  What
Is this roller coaster, or glue, or fantasy- or train, or LSD trip?  Jacob’s Ladder.
