A poem to my lover when I was 25, it was summer and he was skating in the park.
Softly does the wind blow

through my lover's hair,

he doesn't know I'm watching

he doesn't even know I'm there.

Gracefully he glides by

innocence in his eyes.

Suddenly he looks up and notices me

He asks 'how long have you been there'

I say 'only a little while'

He rushes over kisses me gently and hugs me tight.

The innocence switched to adoration,

my body quivers with anticipation.

I smell love in the air.

It's a summer afternoon in the park.

I wish we could freeze this moment in time forever.
