Written last night in company of my subject, of which I admit I am no master at all.
ON BEER

Agitated;
In complete despair
I seek tranquil
But not sure where.

What calms me out,
My distress doth hear,
Turns me on,
Is a mug brimming beer.

Clinking flasks
At the ale store
Beckon me to come
Come, take a hold.

Last evening
When I was getting bored,
Don’t get me wrong
But it wouldn’t let me go.

Thou my sweetest
Bright as gold
You quench my thirst
Resurrect my soul.
