Alone on a late night walk, romance is remembered.
"A Late Summer Walk Without You"

Darling, I'm taking a late summer walk tonight.
Bittersweet moments; a lovely breeze
And alone under an August moon's light.
Without you, it's only a midnight tease.

Steamy dampness from the evening dew
Stirs endless thoughts of our loving romance.
My sweetheart, I'm lonely without you.
Please return soon; consider this offering chance.

Unrestrained stars stoop with melancholy.
Why am I without you? This broken heart whimpers.
Relief comes only in a dream of our strolling nighttime folly.
With these crying memories, summer grass shimmers.

Distance threatens to pierce all promises.
Without you, this half moon begs for homecoming.
Under an indigo sky salted with tearful surmises,
Hope revives as prayers resonate on tongue's trilling.
