“I Hate Change”
by
Tyson W. Sullins

I remember being young and having no responsibilities
I hate change
I remember my mother singing in the kitchen Christmas morning
Why is there change
First day of school, making new friends
Why must there be change
First time my heart feels funny because of a girl
Don’t like change
First time my heart hurts because of a girl
God, I hate change
Moving away from my friends to a new town
Can’t stand change
Finding out how good I’m at sports
Still hate change
Pain in my stomach after losing in sports
Change sucks
The sting of a fist thrown for no reason
Thanks for change
Losing a good friend
Again, thanks a lot for change
Finally graduating the misery of High School
A different kind of damn change
Responsibility, trying to find a job
Lord, I hate change
The Army
Oh yea, a definite change
Germany
Ich hasse Abwechslungen
Soft brown eyes, light reddish brown hair
Change isn’t that bad
Marriage
Big change
The birth of my daughter
Change is good
Leaving the Army
A good change
Driving across the country to Florida
I can’t change the way people drive
Working for the Post Office
Still see the gov. hasn’t changed
College
An educational change
Graduating
A Good Change
But why won’t this damn vending machine take my money?
I hate change!
