10 years later...
They say lightning never strikes twice
In one place
But on that day it did.
The first plane was an aviation mistake
The second plane
Struck twice
Although it was a sunny day
In the Northeast skies
A great cloud began to bloom
Seen through the world’s windows
As inhales and exhales short
Awaiting for answers.

The radio held that static
With the microphone
Expressing the hoarseness
In the DJ’s voice
Reading information as it came in
As Confusion blanketed a city
The towers fell
With our hearts in our throats
Unable to swallow
All who became lost
The days of uncertainty spread
As talk began to tread
Of what was next for the world
No matter where you stand
Hawks and doves
Soar amongst the clouds
Never forget those we lost
