About loving the night, conquer of ones fear of the dark
Beneath the silver moon
I do not fear the dark of night,
for I have known worse things
far more deserving of a child's fright.
No, the dark that covers the world
and brings the shadows out to play
whispers stories in my ear
far more beautiful than those of day.
Beneath the silver moon
you'll find me dancing in the dark,
and if you know the spell to weave,
whom to call before the shadows leave;
if you watch from behind closed eyes
and yet still see the starry skies
then you will know the reason why
all alone I do not fear the dark
beneath the silver moon.
