I like sittin’ in the river, even when it gets low.
Driving on them back roads and going real slow.
I like drinkin’ frosty cans; I can sure put some back.
Hell I even like to kick around an old hacky sack.
Tell me I can’t do something and I’ll tell you where to go.
Tell me that I’m bullheaded, well there’s something I don’t know.

Growing-up here you know it can’t be wrong.
Well I tell you one thing, I’m from Texas son.

Yeah I have tattoos and I’ll grow my hair out.
Been known to shoot whiskey, then scream and shout.
Now I’ll wear flip-flops with my pearl snaps.
A pair of old jeans and a John Deere cap.
I may still argue even when I know I’m wrong.
Cast my pole out and fish all night long.

I’ll say something absurd; I hope she thinks that it’s funny.
I do like to have fun and live life on the run.
