Villanelle poem.
I Fear the Night

The candles light my way.
I will not fear the night.
Until the light of day.

The time has gone away.
The sounds enhance my fright.
The candles light my way.

My fear I will allay.
I walk, my path alights.
Until the light of day.

My eyes do they betray?
A blurring in my sight.
The candles light my way.

A wish I must convey.
Oh candles please burn bright.
Until the light of day.

My mind, the tricks it plays.
Shadows lengthen my height.
The candles light my way.
Until the light of day.
