A poem about discovery...life, depression and returning to living.
Discovery

Another day that I must face
Without any rhyme or reason.
I silently watch the human race,
Rush by as the cold winter season.

I sleep and wake and sleep and wake,
Not knowing what I will do.
But silently sit in this world, and ache,
Over the lack of anything new.

I want to discover why I feel this way.
Where do I turn for the reason?
Everyone's busy...while I'm in a daze,
Just watching the turning of seasons.

There is a road that I could travel,
If I could but find my way.
Through the maze of life, as it unravels,
Discovery...but visability is gray!

Friends and family come and go,
Having purpose, direction and goals.
And I wonder, will I ever live again,
Without feeling lonely and cold?

Discovery...the road I need to travel,
Looms up as a shadow in the night!
While my life continues to slowly unravel,
My heart longs to soar, like a kite!

Those living life, say begin right here.
The beginning is where you begin!
If only they knew what I've come to know,
Discovery just might be the end.
