First Hunt


As the kitten stretched, its sharp eyes spotted movement to the left.  Nascent hunting instincts kicked in and the kitten pressed himself to the floor, motionless save for a small twitch of his tail.  Some part of his brain said Now! and he pounced.

"Hey, Leo, you goofball!  That's my big toe, not a mouse!"
