A poem about past memories
I remember strolling in the field
We would run and laugh and play.
I’d sit and think and contemplate
The joy we had each day.

My memories are filled with glee
Until that fateful day
The painful day the angels came
And took my son away.

My heart is filled with sorrow,
I languish every day.
I’ll never hold my son again
Nor hear him laugh and play.

I long to hold him in my arms
I loved him, oh, so much.
I wish that I had one more chance
To feel his loving touch.

My life is so much different now
I’m bereft, depressed and sad
And now I sit and contemplate
The joy that we once had.
