A poem that explores the idea of giving up.
She said, "You know, sometimes I don't want to play anymore."
and I didn't understand
she was a star player
and she said she was tired
"Tired of what?" I asked
and she said she didn't know

He said, "You know, sometimes I don't want to love her anymore."
and I didn't understand
they were a perfect couple
and he said he was afraid
"Afraid of what?" I asked
and he said he didn't know

I said, "You know, sometimes I don't want to sing anymore."
and I understood
I had my whole life ahead of me
but I was hurt
"Why can't you heal?" they asked
and I said
I don't know
