Hand Hold

Stretching strong and slender,
Reach out to cup me up and hold me tight,

Through cracks fall beams of sunlight,
Piercing the dark warmth you spread around me,

To lie here soft and safe,
At peace in your hands,

Where noise is muffled and smell so strong,
Where hearts thud and thoughts entangle,

Is to be happy away from harm.
