short poem of two people that should not fall in love
A smile
dances across her face.
Her eyes
sparkles and shines.
Her whole being
Glows.
Who can hide their feelings
for another.
I try,    I struggle,    I smile.
The light of my heart,  shines
from my eyes.
She knows,    She smiles,
She knows.
I struggle
to calm my pounding heart,
to hide my beaming smile.
Too late,      Too late,  I cannot.
She knows.
Awkwardly,  we stand,
Our souls
Naked and bare,
for    each to see.
The world screams
a thunderous ovation
No!  No!    No!
We smile
Our hearts saying
Yes!  Yes!    Yes!
