A short rhyming poem.

A sandy earth surrounds my toes,
sodden as the water subdues.
Blue sky now turns a pale primrose
for night is near to steal the moods.

Warm winds whisper into my ear.
The rhythmic expanse ebbs and flows.
A vastness so far, yet so near;
its greatness wearing all my woes.
