A hemi-sestina- new poetry form perhaps
Some are simple, their wants, their needs suit.
It matters not what others may think
for they will do what they please.

Bathing suit or not,
the stark bearers think what they do.
Dead of Winter, oh please; Polar bear, pure and simple.

It is not a matter of pride, do not think
they do not shiver. If you please
have brandy handy. Simple--a sniffer will suit

to remove the chill; think what a blazing fire will do,
a warm blanket if you please, quick, fast, simple:
Into the water, no wet suit allowed. For sissies, this is not

the thing to do. And it will please
those for whom the simple act will benefit; a suit-
case full of money, not for the swimmer; like some think.

For the children, if you please, raises money; so simple.
A "Class-y Action Suit" to warm children; not
a bad deal, ya think? Trade cold for warmth; they will!

So mid-winter day, a simple truth prevails: Suit up and take a dive for the kids. Not
to cool off, but to chill and think of those less fortunate, do a good deed, see smiles that please.
