A poem about how a lie can break even the strongest down.
Changing you,
Deteriorating your life,
I make you question who you are,
But what am I?
I tear down your confidence,
Prove beliefs wrong.
I'm as silent as a whisper,
But incredibly strong.
I spread like a disease,
Destroying with ease,
Don't take it personally.
Is that how it's perceived?
Oh well, that's fine with me.
I turn your strength into ash.
Your soul? Dust.
I make you feel worthless,
Like a car trashed because of rust.
So what if I hurt you?
It's my social game.
I've nothing to loose,
You've nothing to gain.
Cause I'm no person,
Not someone to scare,
I spread and you can't stop it.
I see faces twist in despair.
All of their anger,
All of their pain,
I transmit their feelings,
No personal gain.
I don't need it,
I'm respected without it,
I'll live on forever,
Don't you doubt it.
You can't doubt me,
I've made you what you are,
I shaped you into this mess,
All of me leaving scars.
I am the lie that altered you,
I am the lie that made their thoughts true.
I am the lie leaving you in pain,
Lies have nothing to lose, you've lost all you could gain.
