A world of ordinary people
ordinary in their lives
daily work for ordinary joy

I walk down the dock
of the uncommon lake
and watch the uncommon swim

They swim without fear
splashing with joy
my heart aches to join

Why can't I see
the way in front of me?
to jump in and join them

Stand in my world of gray
colorful art before me
waiting for me to come
