what do I see when I look in the mirror?
As I look at her, she stares into my eyes.
From the look on her face, I know she wants to cry.
she holds back her tears, and all of her fears.
But inside I can feel she wants to die.

So I reach out my hand to her,
I want to wipe away her tears and tell her Im right here.
I want her to know she has nothing to fear.

She's my reflection, I made a promise to protect her.
Im so sorry for this mess, I've been so reckless.
I can't even look her in the face, I've put her in a place
of feeling unsafe.

I want to see her happy again,
so I hold up my head and I tilt up my chin.
I take a deep breath, and pretend to grin.
