Just a little poem about a windy day.
WIND

The wind is pretty strong today,
It’s blowing quite a gale,
The trees are bending sideways
And the rain has turned to hail.

The chairs out in the garden
Are trying to escape
They seem to be advancing
Towards the garden gate.

With wings out stretched, the birds
Are trying hard to fly,
Against the strong winds blowing
Way up in the sky.

The cat has crossed her legs
She is not willing to go out,
In case this awful wind
Tries to blow her all about.

The whistles blow right round the house
Making lots of ghostly noises,
It sounds like people in the loft
With lots of different voices.

But as the day progresses
Normal life is soon resumed
The wind has eased to just a breeze
And back to finely tuned.
