This poem is about my mother who passed away a couple years ago.
My mother told me once not to be afraid
To go play with the other kids at the arcade.
She also told me not to worry
that she wasn't in any kind of hurry.
She told me that I should go live my life
or go visit my brother's new wife.
But the most important thing she ever said to me
was one which I never would agree.
She said that if she would soon come to die
that I should not ever cry.
I should have taken that as a warning
Because days later I was mourning.
Theres not a day that I dont think about my mother
Days were I don't think of nothing other.
But she once told me I should go live my life
or visit my brother's new wife.
