She was my everything.
A smile was dancing in my eyes
the day I met my wife.
She brought a light into a world,
revived a lonely life.

Her hair was long and cricket black
with eyes of dreamy blue.
The days we spent seemed more than chance,
a destiny of two.

A man had chosen to imbibe,
destroyed angelic love.
My princess lost her earthly days,
now smiles with God above.

She left a gift for us to share
but she will not be back.
A toddler with a smile like hers
and hair all cricket black.
