One of my poems I wrote for Y.A Lit. Inspired by past experiences.
Death is...

Death is an old woman's face, hiding her bubbly life
Death quiets the halo of man's best friend as he wags his tale one last time
Death is a little girl alive only in photographs and never seeing her real smile again
Death is a man who's life was a shooting star burning brilliantly if only for a moment

Death is considered an ugly black raven who only takes what we love away
But sometimes it's a beautiful dove taking them to a place where we will love them one day
