Moved the faithful to prayer
The loneliness of this youth
moved
God’s lovers
to prayer.

They begged
that the flame of his isolation
melt
the stones of his prison
and be transmuted into
the water of life
in the hearts
of the faithful.

On their knees
they ask
that the seasons of war
be transformed
into the season of peace,
when the clouds in the sky
rain blessings
and humanity’s senses
experience divine love.
