My laments.
My heart cries out, as I rise ever higher. The mountain of my blind folly ever growing beneath my feat. I need not climb anymore. For it willingly grows beneath me. It churns, bubbles and hardens. Like lava it makes new ground for me to stand on. Higher and higher I find myself. Is there a way down? There is no where to go. I am so far away for anyone to hear me. Like a deaf man my words are incoherent. "Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night." For what is a candle but only a false hope. What is a little time of rest, but a respite from darkness. My sight is dimmed, I cannot hear what I say. I cannot understand what I read. I cannot comprehend what is explained to me. Will my anguish ever end? Who can save me? If I be on a mountain beside myself, who can lead me, who can teach me, who can show me right from wrong? Have mercy on me O Lord!
