Tongue and cheek -- no offense intended, and I see myself in some of these descriptions!
Note to Reviewer: This just came out while in "journatation" and I hadn't received a bad review or anything. Please know that I would prefer a "caustic" review to one glosses over the issues with my art.

An Ode To My Critics

I wish I was a pachyderm,
instead I react, defend and squirm.

Instead of thinking the critique picayune,
I know I should think of it as opportune,

and learn from the words that sometimes seem caustic,
ruthlessly rude, or even bombastic,

and not take them personal, like I’ve been naughty.
Or think you’re a jerk, at a minimum haughty.

So I will become a pachyderm,
and listen with interest, to try to confirm

the good that’s within me, the dream that I share,
for that is the reason my art is out there.
