Dust and more dust.
I dream I stay ahead of dust
atop a winter breeze.
Before too long I know I must
awake myself with sneeze.

I dream I stay away from dust
like dark avoids the light.
Before too long I know I trust
my nose instead of sight.

I dream I stay beyond the dust
to breathe the air that’s clear.
Before too long my dream goes bust
and every breath is dear.

The very dust within my dream
goes on a nasal date.
It woos the hair from everywhere,
but bunnies lay in wait.

I dream I am a head of dust
with feathers on the rise.
Before too long I feel like rust
has gathered in my eyes.
