Lion attacks Zebra, rolls over Zebra’s back, & onto ground in front of Zebra
Was his humiliation,
Caused by a complication,
Or a hiccup in space and time?
A camera caught the action,
Caught his mortification,
Proved nature’s humor sublime.

Line count: 6

Form: A fourteenth century stanza is composed of 6 lines, with a syllable structure of 4-9 syllables and a rhyme scheme of a, a, b, c, c, b or a, a, b, a, a, b. This type of poem can have more then 1 stanza.

Note about this poem: I saw a video of a lion attacking a zebra, the lion’s claws appear to catch the Zebra’s rump, but instead of taking the zebra down the lion rolled over the animal’s back and un its front halves. Both lion and zebra survived.
