The audacity of a thief!
The little girl is just a thief;
I see her every day.

She creeps with care into the yard,
soon makes her getaway.

Some fruit is what she comes to steal,
those little legs will run.

She'll sneak up in the early morn
before the beating sun.

I see her take a strawberry,
so juicy, plump, and sweet.

My wife tells me, "Now let her be;
a robin needs to eat!"
