World Poetry Contest Entry. When a teenage girl falls in love with her inspiration.
Because...

Maybe you don't need my love,
but I know that I need yours.
Nobody knows the pain inside;
they can't see behind closed doors.
Because of you I know how to fight.
Because of you I know how to fly.
Sure, things still hurt me,
but now I'm not afraid to cry.
The only thing that's left now,
is having you by my side.
But I know that cannot be.
So instead I hurt inside.
Because of you I know how to fight.
Because of you I know how to fly.
But now, because of you,
I know what it's like to die.
