English Assignment: Imagist Poem. Describes a river's inexorable flow.
The silvery river stretches on,
A snake’s sheen, crawling back and forth.
It drifts along, till all is gone.

On the banks, willows weep,
Like mourners of those lost.
Cold sands on the fringes heap,
That icy ford uncrossed.
