I had to write a diary as if I was in WWI. And this is the and of it when it was over.
March 22,1919

I remember when the others and I were told that the war would be over by Christmas. What utter rubbish that was...it dragged on for four miserable years, but now its over and I've never been so lighthearted in my life.

I miss my wife's lips on mine and my kids in my arms. Index to see their smiling faces, I have seen to many damaged faces of friends and foes. I'm relieved to be alive, but will there be consequences for all my killing?

9 million is burned into my memory, that's how many people died in the last four years..have I gone mad?

No time to think of that now. I'm home and that's all that matters.

****looked so much longer on paper haha
