The Wildest dance-off in all Wilderness! A MUST READ! Read and review today!
I

The sun fell down when lights flicked on,
Upon the dance floor of Coconut Shell.
Persimmon pulled on her dancing shoes,
Which always were kept polished well.

Fig donned his smashing top hat,
Papaya straightened her pumps,
And Litchi spun into the wildest costume
That ever complemented her lumps.

They were preparing for the evening's ball,
To perform with utmost confidence;
In a performance to decide for once and all,
The greatest regal dancer thence.

The band was set and up they brought
Onstage, instruments notably best.
A harp of finest sweet corn silk,
Guitars of plucky peanuts pearliest.

Pumpkin drums were set beside
The lighted cinnamon piano stand,
So the audience could hearken well
To base down low and high tones grand.

Beneath a shower of cuscousou,
The contestants lined on the floor.
Ready to give their best show yet:
A performance of Dance Galore.

Host Pineapple looked to the judges,
For their willing signal to begin;
Breadfruit, Jackfruit and Starfruit,
Sat while waiting for his when.

They lost nigh half an hour so,
Just a-staring at each other.
But once they fully thought it out,
It wasn't really too big a bother.

The TV cameras zoomed in close,
As Pineapple declared with a blink;
"Sashay and saunter, sweep the shine!
This be time to twirl not think."

II

Mango grabbed Avocado by the waist,
Tomato rolled Tangelo to a run,
Guava blew Kiwi's fuzz away;
The competition had earnestly begun.

From left to right they danced around,
Like never they danced before.
From the sky down to the ground,
They hopped and spun some more.

Fig tap-danced the floor to clap
'Til Persimmon slid in and off.
Carob waltzed with Vanilla Bean,
While Banana was bolero stuff.

But jumping jujuberry, what is this?
On the floor, one kicks swell moves.
He turns like Fred and spins with Grapes,
His style's smack in the grooves.

First, a hip-hop suite, slid really sweet,
Made even Jim Carrot spin to dance.
Then his electro square, like a rocking chair
Hypnotized the crowd into a trance.

Twice they asked and he said again,
"Pomegranate is my name.
I like soccer chess and books with soul,
Yet dancing's my top game."

Show not over, soon chaos broke loose,
For other dancers weren't ready to quit.
Frantic, they made frenetic look still,
And made every move but sit.

Papaya and Peppino Melon hand-jived live,
Litchi, a little itchy, cha-cha'd behind.
Kiwi slipped Tomato with her grand pliè
But Guava didn't appear to mind.

Pricky Pear was pushed by Banana,
Too close to Fig's tender derrière.
Fig howled in pain when pinched
Though turning, he saw no one there.

The judges had to call Slim Pickle,
To calm the swaying contentants down.
Once they felt his cucumber tickle,
Each one settled with a frown.

III

Time came for judge's decision,
Silence at last was on the floor.
You could hear if a leaf dropped
From the audience of a hundred score.

Judges closed their notebooks...
They'd rehearsed their say in head;
Crossed their arms without ado,
And this is what they said:

"Carob and Vanilla never missed a step,
Peppino and Papaya jived alive and well.
Plantain and Banana did work up a sweat,
Mango and Avo's hula left us in a spell.

Tomato and Tangelo, your twostep's time
Is a bit off-sync now and then.
Guava and Kiwi, we hate to pry thee,
But your last ballet practice was when?

Persimmon dear, your hustle's near,
But not nearly quite as refined
As Fig's tap sensation of standing ovation,
Which is two-feet of a kind.

Yet, there's one who's outshined all,
We almost can't believe his dance tonight.
He moved with graceful style and soul,
His performance was an elegant sight.

An artist of magnificent mind in motion,
This dancer is plum peak of prime.
We wouldn't be surprised if with his know,
He'll sit in judge's chair sometime."

To him they said, "We've no doubt,
You deserve this award we bring.
So step forward Pomegranate,
For you are the true Dancing King!"
