A Cinquain Garland
Set loose
the dogs of war.
Let the battle begin.
Spirit and flesh stand face to face
within.

Behold
my warrior's heart,
dormant in my comfort,
now arises to a greater
fervor.

And yet,
so mote it be
ever careful and keen
to reach an equilibrium.
Balance.

Herein
lies the true key
of my understanding:
The battleground lies within me—
my will.

Surely
the scale teeters
between the light and dark,
stretching to the most extreme points,
unseen.

Set loose
my warrior's heart,
ever careful and keen.
The battleground lies within me—
unseen.
