THE TREE

No tear yet entered his eye
As He walked unhindered
In an as yet unseen land
Placing this mountain a little to the right
This forest just must go here
He laughed
At perfection.

This path he said
is where lovers shall walk
Hand in hand
Breathless at creation

Suddenly,
in the midst of activity
He stopped like an artist
Wanting the perfect setting
to hang his masterpice on.

Then
with a wistful look
He set to
Fashoning the tree
that he knew was his pieste de resistance

He
Made this tree
with what seemed
more love then the rest
For this was how,he knew
the world would be blessed

As he made the bark and the branches
He put them all in place
Yes this is the way
to give mankind some grace

For on this tree
His son would be
the answer to sins plan
The way back to the garden
once and for all for man

As he moulded and created
He turned his head aside
and hoped his son couldnt see
The tear he really cried
